A Wedding Card

I haven't written here awhile, but that doesn't mean I haven't
been crafting. Soon I will put up more photos of what I have
been doing.  I have, luckily, sold a few cards lately, and as
wedding cards are popular, I am trying to replenish my stock.

BTW if anyone can tell me how to photograph a card with
mirri board and not get one's shadow on it, please let me
know!  I had to photograph this with my arms outstretched
and standing to the side of the table it was laying on!

Sami Stamps Challenge #030 - Anything Goes

Another cute image from Sami's Stamps and another challenge.
This challenge opened  2/10/2015 and will close 10/31/2015. The
winners will be announced here on 1/11/15. The winner will receive
a $12.00 Gift Certificate to the Sami Stamps Shop! 2nd place will
receive an $8.00 Gift Certificate!

I try to put details of where items were bought, but now we have a
shop (similar to a Dollar Store)  in Israel that sells lots of
embellishments that are imported, I believe mainly from China, so
I just say these items are from my stash.

Sami Stamps Challenge #029 - Frame It

I love Sami's  style of drawing and decided to
take part in her latest challenge.  Following is
my card.  The image I added to the frame using
Serif CraftArtist2, which is just great to use.  Don't
the gems have a 3D effect!  I also did a little paper
piecing on the dress.  The lace flower I pulled off
another fancy piece of ribbon, which I bought in
a shop near the market, which sells lots of bling.

Hila's 5th Birthday Card

Well, I've already added Hila's scrapbook page here, and now
here is the birthday card I made for her.  This one was quick and
easy, as I already had a colored image.  Isn't it cute?

Pattie's Creations Challenge #113 - Anything Goes

I have been busy lately making cards and doing
some scrapbooking, so no time to add all this to
my blog.  Have a couple of new Prima Dolls stamps,
so hope to use these soon.  Also using my CraftArtist2
for my scrapbooking, which is great fun. Hope to
put up more material soon, so do keep on visiting.

This card I made for a challenge at Pattie's Creations

My First Tag

This is my first try at making a tag. I found lovely
background paper and enjoyed stamping the doll
and "dressing it up."   The tag is also partly
mixed media, as I also used gesso and molding
paste on it, as well as spray ink.  I have just
received my order for two more Prima Dolls -
more fun!

Three Cards Using CraftArtist2

I love using this programme. I have bought a few digi kits
but lots are given free too.  I think knowing basics of PS
helps me to understand CraftArtist more and to know
what I can get it to do for me.  I certainly still have loads
to learn, but it's fun at the same time.

Following is the scrapbook page I made for my 15 year old
granddaughter.  I added some mixed media elements to the
page.

Birthday Card For Shanee 12

My niece is soon to be twelve - here it is a special birthday for girls -
it will be her Bat Mitzvah - she will be a young lady.  Usually kids of
this age have a party and some are lucky enough to go on a trip
abroad.  Here is the card I made for her.

Challenge #59 Tic Tac Toe - CAS on Sunday

I chose Birthday, Butterfly and Ribbon for my card.

When I have time I like to take part in challenges.
Recently I was in the top 3 of a challenge where
over 300 cards were submitted, so I was very
pleased about that.   Having a hobby like this
certainly leaves no time to be bored.

A Wedding Card

Just love this image.  Wanted to make a CAS card, so
didn't add layering or lots of bling (which I also love).
I added just a touch of colour to the image.

A Guy's Birthday Card

As I have said before, I find it quite difficult doing a card for
a guy, especially if you need a new idea every year.  So this
time I mostly used what I had and did not look for a digi.  I
hope my guy likes it.

My First Try At Mixed Media On Canvas

I've been watching videos on how to do mixed media
(didn't even know what it really meant)  and after seeing
a video by Angela Holt, I got down to making a picture
of my own - and this is the result.  I must
admit that I rather like it!  It was also fun to do.

I didn't have to put gesso on the canvas as it came
with that already done. On the background I put a few
layers of pattern paper and I used a few stamps and
Modge Podge.  Also used molding paste and stencils.
I loved using the ink sprays.  I  used embellishments
that I had to hand (I was lucky to have some Petaloo
flowers).  Luckily we have a few shops that sell
lace so that wasn't a big problem to find.  It has been
a problem finding ink sprays here, so I have to wait
for holidays abroad (not too often) to get some items.
I searched online for the profile, as I wanted a
Victorian look. As you may have guessed, I like
glitter too.

Recycled Cereal Box

For a while I have been searching for something to keep
my 12"x12" scrapbook papers in. I wanted something that
would stand on my large computer table and where I
could easily see what I had.

I just cut off a side of the box and then covered it with
pictures I cut out of a magazine. I used Modge Podge
over the box and after pasting the pictures, went over
them with Modge Podge.  Easy! Any feedback welcome.

Cards I've Made Lately

Well, I must say I've been absent from here for a while, but not
because I haven't continued making cards.  Perhaps I needed
a little time-out. But I'm back now.  I am adding some cards I
have recently made, but am not adding all the materials used
this time.   Also I am not on any design teams at present, so
I suppose that is another reason I haven't been active here.
