For a couple of days now I have been looking at
tutorials for making paper flowers - and there are
some great tutorials out there. The following is
what I came up with. The two scalloped circles
are to show what shape I used. In the centre of
the middle flower I stuck on some seed beads
and whilst the glue was still wet, I added some
red glitter. Here you can really use up left over
scraps. If any crafter reading this has made paper
flowers, I would love to put pictures of them on this
blog.

Wedding Card
I'm in a card making mood, especially as I have
some new cardstock, mat stacks and tools!
Here is a wedding card - I really enjoy making
wedding cards. The hearts under the image were
made using a Cuttlebug die called Concentric
Hearts and I used Classic Scalloped Circles
for cutting out the image.

Mami Doodles Challenge 23
Here's a card I have made using an image from
Mami Doodles and am entering it for the challenge
at: http://mamidoodles.blogspot.com
"Use a Punch or Die Cut".
Challenge is open until Thursday the 14th of April,
midday. The prize will be the last 3 images
released (Mama-to-be, Shopaholic and Little
Chicks), plus one of your choice. Cards using
Mami Doodles images - including freebies -
will have two entries on the draw.
I used the Nestabilities - Lacey Ovals and
coloured the image in like colours as the
background. Background paper is from
DCWV - I have their Glitter Mat Stack
- all the papers are beautiful. I cut out and
embossed the two top corners. I had just
rounded the corners, but didn't like the
finished look. I also inked around the
die cut to give it some more oomph!
The gold stickers are from Stampendous.
I don't know if you can see the yellow
pattern on the card, but I used my new
Scor-Buddy and scored lines down the
yellow stockcard. I haven't had it long
enough to try out other patterns.
Now I need to clear some of my crafting
mess away - though I'd sooner sit and
make more cards!

The New Nestabilities - Lacey Ovals
Well I'm a lucky girl as I've been able to
stock up on a few crafting goodies! BF
went to the States and brought me back
what I had ordered over the internet and
what was on my 'wish list'. On top of
my list was one of the new sets of
Nestablities from Spellbinders – Lacey
Ovals. So here is a card that I made using
this new set. I ordered the Nestablities
from Cutathome.com and the service was
excellent AND I got a great deal!
I added a silver background paper to the card
after rounding the two top corners. I used a
Lacey Oval die and then cut out my printed
image using Fiskars ShapeCutter.
I then cut up a strip of card and punched out
a border on the bottom edge and added ribbon
to it. I cut out a small Lacey Oval and
stamped and heat embossed the sentiment
"I do". I then added some glitter to the stars
on the image and glued to the large Lacey Oval.
When you use a punch, don't forget the left
over pieces can be also used, and I added a
couple of the pieces to the two top corners of
the card. The image comes from
- it's worth taking a look at this site.
