Pattie's Creations Challenge #104 - Happy Birthday

This is my last card for Pattie's Creations DT.  Altogether I
have been with Pattie for about a year and a half and
had a lot of fun using her images. I wish all the rest of
the DT all the best and to continue with their lovely work.

Do take part in this challenge - just take note that you
should include any Digital or Stamped Image on your
creation! Stop on over to Pattie's ETSY Shop and have a look
at her many images. Don't forget to check out the Freebie First
Friday of the Month page. The Freebie will be available for
3 days, and then it will be removed from the site!
The challenge starts now and ends Thursday, November 27th
at 1pm CST (Central Standard Time).
Have a look at this week's DT and their creations! You can check
their details by clicking on their names to leave some Luv at their
blogs.

Now I am spending quite a lot of time getting to know about
Mixed Media - so watch this page!  I now have a 'craft room'
and the salon table is no longer overrun with all my crafting
goods. I still have to find a solution for my 30x30 scrapbook
pages, but I know what to look for. I would like it on my
worktable, as what's better than having this paper at hand!
If it takes up too much room on my table, I have other ideas.
I have a round table behind me (next to a couch/bed), which
I use for my mixed media projects.

Pattie's Creations Challenge #102 - Autumn Colours In Your Image

Here is my card for the next challenge on Pattie's Creations.
I nearly missed this challenge as only in the evening of the day
I was going away for a few days, did I realise I hadn't made a
card!  My holiday was spent in Jerusalem, and my was it
crowded there, due to the Festival of Succot.  Luckily we had
great weather but did have to wear something called 'a jacket'
in the evening (first time in many months) due to it being chilly out
 - and we missed the rain in Tel Aviv!

Do take part in this challenge - just take note that you
should include any Digital or Stamped Image on your
creation! Stop on over to Pattie's ETSY Shop and have a look
at her many images. Don't forget to check out the Freebie First

Wedding Cards

Oh dear, I have been quiet here!  That doesn't mean I haven't been
making cards or doing a little scrapbooking. Following are a couple
of wedding cards I have made.  Now that I am into mixed media, I
have been looking at videos showing different techniques and I have
been following webisodes at Paperwishes. These webisodes are
just great and it is amazing what the two women who make these
videos come up with.

Pattie's Creations Challenge #100 - Vintage

Time for another Pattie's Creations Challenge - this time
the subject is 'Vintage".  I would have liked to put glitter,
gemstones etc. on the card, but these weren't on the
market in those days and the cards weren't too colourful.

Do take part in this challenge - just take note that you
should include any Digital or Stamped Image on your
creation! Stop on over to Pattie's ETSY Shop and have a look

Hila is 4

It's been a bit quiet here lately. I've been busy sorting out my
crafts room (second small bedroom), as I was working in the
salon and the dining table was always full of my crafting things,
and now I have a tablecloth on a nice tidy table but... it isn't
like working in the salon with the TV on - yes, I did get
distracted!  I put up some shelves in the bedroom and added
some lighting.  I am slowly sorting out things in the cupboard,
but I still need more space.  I am thinking of getting a fold-up
table, which would enable me to do some mixed media projects,
which I recently started doing and quite like.

Here is the card I made for my granddaughter's 4th birthday,
which is tomorrow.  Hopefully she will like it.

Pattie's Creations Challenge #98 - Altered or Recycled

The challenge this fortnight is "Altered or Recycled"
and as I had a few toilet paper rolls I decided to use
them.  I looked around the internet to get an idea of
what to do.  I finally decided to make pillow boxes
You can put sweets inside or a piece of jewelery or
anything small and give as a small gift.

Do take part in this challenge - just take note that you
should include any Digital or Stamped Image on your
creation! Stop on over to Pattie's ETSY Shop and have a look

Mixed Media 1

Here is my first try at mixed media - and I must admit I
rather liked doing it.  I googled 'mixed media' to learn
a little what it is about, and then I roughly followed a
film on You Tube, teaching the subject.  I then went to
a 3-hour class and made my 2nd mixed media picture,
this time on canvas.  I shall put that picture up soon.
This picture was made using 240 gm drawing paper.

I used lots of pieces of paper,  lace, molding paste,
stencils, paint, cut out heart and painted it and went
around the edge with a black marker, small pieces of
two materials and for the words I used Tattered Lace
Retro Alphabet  and Spellbinders Shapeabilities -
Floral Flourishes.

The lovely doll is a digi image I bought called Birgetti
from C.C. Designs. I used seed beads on the sunflower
and then covered the center with Glossy Accents. Also
used Dot Sparkler Stickers from Stampendous.

Any feedback welcome.

Birthday Card For My 17 Year Old Grandson - Guess What He Is Keen On!

Haven't been here awhile, possibly because of the situation
here in Israel, but we have to carry on as normal as possible.
Here is a card for a grandson who is mad on Star Wars, and
collects Star Wars memorabilia. It is hard to make a card for
this age but I hope he will like what I have made.

If you haven't yet tried PhotoFunia, you should, it is fun to
use.  Just Google the word.

I have started doing some mixed media and when my first
attempt is ready, I shall add it here. There is a 3-hour course
being held, and I am seriously thinking of going - although I
think it is possible to learn everything through the internet,
which I mostly do.  But it would be nice to sit with others
doing the same as you. I'd better hurry up and book myself
a place.

Card For My 14 Year Old Granddaughter

This following card I made for my granddaughter, who loves
music and is learning to play the guitar and piano.  I used PS
this time and took the images from a CD.  Used Glossy Accents
on the hearts.  I also made her a scrapbook page, which I will
add here soon.

Bought some molding paste yesterday and can't wait to play
with it!

A Guy Card

In a couple of days it will be bf's birthday and this is the
card I made for him.  With this card I've had a chance
to use some of the items which I received as part of
prizes from Core'dinations (just love their cardstock)
and Scrapbook Adhesives (first time I have used their
products - and I like).

I haven't been too active here lately, but that isn't because
I haven't been making cards.  Soon I shall add another
guy card.

embellishing it. Pity the photo doesn't show up the

Time For Another Card!

The other day I bought a cricut Cuttlebug die called
Flower Vine and of course had to try it out.  It fits the
whole of the front of the size of cards I use, but it can
be cut up too.  I was going to make it into a birthday
card, but bf said it was more like a wedding card. I
shall use it for both. It cut and embossed without
any trouble, but I did pull it through the Cuttlebug a
few times, just to make sure.  I haven't tried it out
on thicker paper yet, just regular printing paper. I
think this die will be great for decoupage too.
Stenciling is also another possibility.

Won another prize, this time from Xyron - should arrive
within 3 weeks.

Pattie's Creations Challenge #90 - Easter

My prize from Core'dinations has arrived and I received a
lovely surprise at all the goodies I received.  I now have enough
cards, envelopes, tags and cardstock for a long time to come!  It
certainly is worthwhile taking part in Core'dinations challenges.

I have added a link to Free Digital Minikit.com on my
sidebar - a new free scrapbooking kit is given
every week, and you can use them commercially if
you link back to them.

Time at Pattie's Creations for Challenge #90 - Easter.

More Guy Cards

I've been a bit quiet here because I have been busy.
I had to prepare for a bazaar and then bf had a visit
from his daughter and we traveled to Jerusalem for
a few days. We stayed at a lovely boutique hotel
called Mount Zion, which has beautiful views
over the Old City.

Hooray, I won first prize on Sami Stamps Challenges
with the 'green' challenge, so now I can have some
fun choosing some digital images.  I really love her
style of drawing.

Do visit Pattie's Creations Challenge (I am on one
of her DT's) - the latest challenge is "Fancy Folds'
and the DT have done some lovely cards for this
challenge.

Following are some of the guy cards I have made
recently.  I am not writing any details on them of
materials used, but if anyone has a question, I shall
be only too happy to answer them. The last two
images are from CD's I have. The sailing boat I
have is on a decoupage sheet, but I don't have
the name of the artist. (Now I note all the artists).

busy getting ready for a Crafts Fair, but there are
only so many cards that I need.

Sami Stamps has a challenge until 31/3 - the theme is
Use Some Green, and her DT have made some lovely
cards.

A Quick And Easy Birthday Card

This card couldn't be any easier or quicker to make - I can take
a LOT of time getting a card made.  Do take a look at the blog of
Catherine Pooler - you will certainly get inspiration from there.
Now I am looking at my card, I see that I could have embossed
one of the pieces - that would have been nice too.  This design
lets you use up pieces of paper you have left over - and like me,
I'm sure you all have lots of bits and pieces!
