My Prize from Petaloo

Just came back from a quick trip to London - went back
to my 'roots' with my eldest daughter and two grandchildren
of 11 and 6.  I didn't go to one craftshop though, as I simply
didn't know where they were. In the US I know to go to
Michael's or AC Moore, but I have been away from
London for so many years that I don't know lots of
the shops there.

Here is what I received as a prize for taking part in the
CDAC 'Party' - I look forward to getting down to learning
how to colour them - they come from Petaloo, who sponsored
the 'Party' - and they have beautiful cards and scrapbooking
pages on their website using their products.  As I have quite a
few Dew Drop inks I'll use them for the colouring. I could also
use teabags- I think they will give a nice colour.

Watch this space!!! I love flowers and think they really add
to a card or scrapbook page - and as all the flowers are
white I can use any colour combination I like on them.

Ori's 3rd Birthday Card

Today is my grandson Ori's birthday and he is now three - how
the time flies!  I know that he likes Thomas the Train, and so I
used of picture of Thomas for the card.  For the background
I made a sheet using the same image as the large one, so the
colours match. I used Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Circles.
Ori is too young to appreciate cards, but I hope his mother
will like it.

Card using Priscilla Styles Bicycle Digi

This image I was lucky enough to win and so I thought it would
be nice to get down to using it.  I must admit the background
took me ages, because I just couldn't do what I had in my head,
but in the end I am happy with what I did. (It would be useful to
learn how the use the PS programme more proficiently)! As the
title implies this image is by Priscilla Styles and I belong to her
group on CDAC - a great place to be.
The background paper is by Generations and  I used a Cuttlebug
embossing folder.  The pearls are from Zva creation. I stamped
the sentiment.

Another card for A Day for Daisies Challenge - Secret Ingredients

Their challenge today is a "Secret Ingredients" challenge!
What's that, you ask? Well - take a look at ALL the designer's
cards and even go read their blog posts if you need to... we
ALL (that is the designers) used one or both of 2 secret
embellishments/techniques for our cards. So study them
closely and see if you can figure out what we used! When
you make your project, use one or both of them on your card!

Well I have made my card for this challenge and hopefully used the
two Secret Ingredients!  How beautiful is the freebie given to be
used in this challenge - although you can use any ADFD
image that you want.

On the card I have used paper piercing (until now I have called
it decoupage), faux stitching and glitter. I wanted more of the
feather behind my 'flower' but couldn't get it to stick properly!
Also you can't really see the filter I used on the top part of the
fairy's dress, but it still looks alright. If I had used a larger card
and thus larger image, it would have been more noticeable.

Sliekje Digital Stamps

This blog is well worth a visit - http://sliekje.blogspot.com/
as Sliekje is a very talented artist and gives away many digital
stamps. Here is a card I made using one of her cute images
for a wedding card.

I used Nestabilities Labels Eight and pattern paper by
Colorbok, and Dot Sparkers from Stampendous.

Another card for A Day for Daisies Challenge

This is the third card I have done for the ADFD Challenge.
Cupcakes seem to be in now, at least in England and the US.
The backgroun I did on PS as well as the sentiment (a bit spread
out) and I used Nestabilities Lacey Ovales, and Dot Sparklers
from Stampendous.
